Two things I like about summer:
1) Dogs in trucks or cars with their heads hanging out the window. It always makes me smile because you just know that the dog is so happy. -- My dog, she hides on the floorboard. BUT I love to see on any random sunny summer day a dog with its head out the window just enjoying the simplest things that we probably never think about; the sun on its cute little doggie face. The wind blowing and all the wonderful new scents the doggie gets to smell and how happy that probably makes the doggie. The excitement of going somewhere, anywhere. Yes, I envy a dogs life sometimes.
And the second reason I love summer:
People on Harley's that wave to each other as they drive by. Well, it's not actually a wave, it's that 'biker wave'. Who knows if they really know each other, I think it's just an unspoken law that bikers have wave to each other as they pass by each other, kinda like being on a boat and waving to each other as you 'wave' right on by. I like to see that kind of camaraderie among humans.

Well, I like summer for other reasons too, like my hubby's steak that he cooks on the grill which has me totally spoiled and I can't eat a restaurant steak without comparing.
I like the smell of fresh cut grass.
Annnnd I guess that's about it. I'm not really an "outside" type of person. I used to be. When I was a kid. Now, I like winter... but we will get to that when it's winter.

Summer. I love it. Flip flops. Lemonade. Freeze pops. Ice Cream Truck. No school....I mean um, uh. Well. The no school thing brought me back to reality. Summer was great as a kid though....running around within our parental set radius, going on adventures, catching lightning bugs.
I remember one summer when I was six or so, the cicadas had come out and we made it our mission to find every shell we could get to....we climb every tree in our neighborhood pulling those suckers down. lol
LOVE NKOTB "summertime". I can't wait to see them in concert. We never had the money for that growing up so I'm glad to get this opportunity. And yes, I will be wearing my NKOTB tee shirt, lol
I LOVE NKOTB!! I saw them twicew when I was in junior high/high school. A few of my co-workers and I are going to see them in October! And I can't wait. I used to be so love with Jordan and Donnie:)
I like summer, just not the massive heat and humidity that comes with it. I like walking around in sandals and bare feet. I like hanging out in a comfy chair outside with a book and a cold iced tea...

Sheila- yeah, I loved all that stuff too. When I was a kid. Now, not so much. AND the reason your feed is doing that is because I write my post ahead of time, but preview them to make sure they look ok. Once I hit "publish" your feed picks it up.
Becky & Shelia- I love how you both love them. I remember them being HUGE when I was in middle school. I'm glad they are coming back. It's a piece of my childhood coming back to life and that's awesome!
