Top 10 Reasons Why I "Heart" Twitter

10) It's like being in a 24/7 chat room with your friends.

9) When people put up a new post on their blog, they usually put a message on Twitter letting the rest of us know, therefore, making it easier for us to see who has a new post. It's better than the feeder thingy I was using.

8) I always get a kick out of how witty people can be in 140 characters or less.

7) I am starting to have conversations with real life people in one or two sentences. This is good because I don’t like most people in my real life.

6) It's a great support system! You've had a bad day? Just let your twitter friends know and they will totally cheer you up.

5) If something major happens, CNN will send out a tweet and even if they don't, your twitter friends will start making comments about said event, therefore, always keeping you in the loop of current events.

4) Watching the Debates while tweeting at the same time. One of the funniest things you can do, ever.

3) You stay current with your blogging friends and what they are doing, what they are feeling, what their plans are and so on...

2) Finding some local friends via twitter and knowing that just a few miles down the road from you, you know what someone is doing this very second, what they are feeling, ... wait, I already said that didn't I?

1) It's totally 100% addicting AND all the cool kids are doing it!! But you gotta get it on your phone or it's not nearly as fun!

I love Twitter for all those reasons and more that I'm sure I could come up with. Its so fun to send a quick update and read what everyone else is doing. I was addicted within the first 5 minutes!!

I still don't even understand the stupid thing. Sour grapes man, sour grapes!

PS : I will admit that sometimes I'm uber jealous of twitter folks when I see all of these little messages and I don't get the other half of the conversation.

Ok, I admit, I have never heard of it. Is it expensive to get on your phone? Is it only in the States? I WANT TO TWITTER!!!!!!!
Speaking of communicating, is the any type of blog that you can transfer your old blog posts too? Nobody (well, a very few) can comment on mine, unless they are 'signed up' on the same thing. I pretty much gave up, cause blogging with no feedback can be a downer. I was getting emails with comments with people saying they couldn't leave a message, soooo, ya, anyone know if I can pick a different blog site and not lose my stuff?

Becky- I love reading what everyone else is doing too :-)

Shelia- Well, you have one now! Yay!! It is awesome, at least for someone like myself that has ADD and reading 140 is great!

Lori- No! It's totally FREE! Well, if you download it to your phone, you have to pay the download charge from your provider, just like if you download a ring tone. As far as transferring blogs, I am pretty sure I read somewhere that Wordpress can do what you are asking, but I'm not 100% on that. I hate Wordpress but it might just be what you are looking for. Just type in "transferring blog post" in google and see what pops up. Hopefully that will get your started in the right direction.

I will have to look into that, I am on Telus, and I know there are certain things only certain phone providers will carry. Thanks!
